The College of Arts and Sciences Celebration of Excellence was held on April 26, 2019 at Nebraska Champions Club.
"Today's celebration is about recognizing students’ outstanding academic achievements and leadership and honoring faculty for their exceptional teaching and research accomplishments," Interim Dean Elizabeth Theiss-Morse said in her opening remarks.
Faculty who had received awards at the system, university, and college level were recognized.
The ceremony is open to students in the top 10% based on grade point average. Seniors graduating with Distinction, High Distinction, and Highest Distinction were recognized.
Undergraduates Paige McCoy, Trenton Buhr, and Yaid Puente each talked about their experiences.
