Five alumni, two students to be recognized by Nebraska Alumni Association May 3

The Nebraska Alumni Association will recognize five accomplished alumni and two promising students, all from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Arts and Sciences, at the annual Alumni Honors Night on May 3 at the Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center.

The winners were chosen by a selection committee of Nebraska alumni from across the country.

Distinguished Service Award

The Early Achiever Award honors one outstanding young graduate from each University of Nebraska-Lincoln college. Honorees are selected by the dean and faculty of each college.

The Alumni Achievement Award honors alumni who have a record of outstanding achievements in a career and/or civic involvement.

The Jack Miller Scholarship memorializes a former exec VP of the Nebraska Alumni Association, whose leadership and professionalism instituted many innovations, including the establishment of the Student Alumni Association.

The Vann Student Leadership Award recognizes one undergraduate student leader who has shown exceptional leadership capabilities through energetic participation in student activities, commendable classroom performance and personal integrity.
