What does graduating from Nebraska mean to you?
Graduating from Nebraska means that I know that there are always connections that I can lean back on wherever I go.

Transformational moments
There were so many moments where I have felt supported and cared about in this school. There was a particular period where I was feeling very down, and one time while I was walking down the corridor, my English professor from last semester called out my name and took the time to ask me how I was. I remember feeling surprised and touched at the same time because I have always been that quiet and reserved student and I didn’t expect her to remember me. That was the first time I have personally experienced the saying that: “professors really care for their students even outside of class”.

Besides that, I am also super grateful for the Actuarial Science faculty for giving me the opportunity to travel to San Diego for an Actuarial conference in Fall 2021. Because of that opportunity, I was able to meet other Actuarial students from other states and learn what the Actuarial world looks like outside of the classroom. It is definitely one of the highlights of my university life.

After graduation
Currently, I am still looking for actuarial jobs. I am open to relocation and excited to see where my next job opportunity takes me! I am most looking forward to to applying the skills I have learnt in class in my future job. I am excited to meet new people and welcome a completely new set of challenges as I enter the workforce.

The best thing about being a Husker
The people and faculty who cares about you and wants you to succeed in and out of the classroom.

Thank you message
I am really grateful for my family, friends, faculty and the strangers who have been kind and supportive throughout my university life. There were countless instances where I feel super blessed, whether it’s that random interaction with people at booths and events, or career coaches and professors pointing me to the resources that I need for my job search. It is really the people that makes the university great and I am proud to say that I am a Husker!
