What does graduating from Nebraska mean to you?
Graduating from Nebraska signifies the opening of many doors for opportunities to meet new people and explore new places. It signals a preparedness for the unique challenges and victories that await us within each of those opportunities.

Transformational moments
In my second year at UNL, I received the NASA Nebraska Space Grant Introduction to NASA Fellowship for students in STEM. Through this fellowship, I saw firsthand how biochemistry is deeply intertwined with a variety of other disciplines, including astronomy, engineering, and philosophy. It completely altered the trajectory of my career, and I realized that my studies in biochemistry were applicable beyond what I could have imagined. Moving forward, I carry with me a newfound understanding that even the most down-to-earth academic disciplines can still lead us to reach new heights and reveal the unknown, so what we do and learn will benefit all of humankind.
