Julia Moore awarded American Fellowship

Julia Moore, doctoral candidate in Communication Studies earning the Women's and Gender Studies Specialization, was awarded a 2015-16 American Association of University Women American Fellowship.

From the AAUW website: "American Fellowships support women scholars who are completing dissertations, planning research leave from accredited institutions, or preparing research for publication. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of scholarly excellence; quality and originality of project design; and active commitment to helping women and girls through service in their communities, professions, or fields of research."

Julia also received an honorable mention for UNL Graduate Studies' Research Assistant Award and was named a Phyllis Japp Scholar by the department.
