As the Department of Psychology's student spotlight of the month, senior Ali Benda shared a few words about her time here at UNL.
When asked why she loves psychology, Ali said, “I love that psychology provides an inside look at the inner workings of our brain - why we do what we do, feel how we feel, etc. It is a means through which I can better understand and help those who need it.”
On campus Ali is on the executive team of Students Together Against Cancer, a student-run nonprofit that raises money for local cancer patients. Additionally, she is a member of Psi Chi and an RA for the Learning and Development Research lab.
Ali's favorite psychology class is a three-way tie between Brain and Behavior, Psychology of Gender, and Human Sexuality!
She also is this year’s recipient of the Harry K. Wolfe award, which is awarded to an outstanding senior psychology student at UNL!
