Why did you apply to be a NSE leader?
I wanted to expand my horizons, meet new people, and become more immersed in the university before I graduate!
Who has helped you be successful at Nebraska
Dr. Gwenyth Talley, the professor I TA for, has been one of the most valuable resources I could have asked for. She has helped me with all sorts of scholarship applications, life advice, and being a sounding board for academic pursuits.
How do you describe the University of Nebraska to others?
I would say its a Big 10 school that doesn't feel like a Big 10 school. The community is so strong and everyone here is so friendly, that it feels like I've been on campus forever in the best way!
What does being a Husker mean to you?
Being a Husker means being proud of my education, receiving countless opportunities, and making lifelong friendships.
How have you connected on campus?
I am invovled in quite a few RSOs on campus, and I make an effort to reach out to those who are invovled in other things that I think are interesting! That way I am able to expand my social web and try new things!

One memorable or impactful experience
One of my most memorable collegiate experiences was our home game against CU Boulder last fall. It was the first game I truly got invested in, and even though we lost I had adrenaline running through my veins to the last second! That game really sealed what being a Husker was and what it really felt like to feel the Husker power!

Best advice to a new college student
Don't be afraid to say hi! Whether to a ftoormate, a person in class, or a staff or faculty member, getting to know new people is a great part of college that can lead to lifetime relationships!
