The most recent Senior Spotlight from #NebraskaHonors features Gunther Grinde. Gunther shared that his favorite part of being in Honors has been the people he met through the program:
“My relationships with other Honors students continue to inspire me, open my eyes, and push me to dig deeper and care more conscientiously.”
Outside of Honors, one of Gunther's favorite involvements on campus was his role as a chemistry TA, which he says taught him the importance of open communication and feedback. That role even connected to his Honors senior project:
"My Honors senior project investigated how different teaching interventions help students learn and retain information in chemistry classes. It also involved examining the various barriers that students face when taking chemistry so that the faculty can become aware and create the appropriate interventions to improve student outcomes."
While Gunther's future plans include medical school, in the short term he's going to be gaining more experience in the healthcare field, including studying public health and advocacy in India this summer.
