On finding a second home in Hamilton Hall:
"I have truly found a home here on campus in Hamilton Hall. Throughout my two years here I’ve taken four chemistry classes in this building and have been challenged in each of them. I've learned so much and have met so many amazing people here. I currently get the privilege of working in Hamilton Hall as a lab teaching assistant and I absolutely love it. Being able to help students be successful in these tough classes is so fulfilling. I've been able to develop relationships with both faculty and staff through my job, who have helped me develop professionally. I have truly found a community here at Nebraska in Hamilton Hall!"

On the impact of his on-campus job:
"Growing up, I was always taught to keep a tight budget, and going into college I knew I needed to find a job to help cover some of the expenses that would occur throughout the semester. I also was looking for a job that was on campus for the convenience of where the job was located and the fact I would get to network more within the university. This past year I decided to apply for a teaching assistant position where I would have some flexibility with my hours, and I would still have time for my school work. This has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my collegiate experience. I have been able to interact with many different professors, interact with a diverse group of students, earn some extra money to spend throughout the semester and develop leadership skills that have been invaluable to my experience at Nebraska."
