By graduating from Nebraska, I know that I have received a quality education with quality experiences and opportunities. I have a community here that fosters growth, inclusion, and well-roundedness. Going forward, I will always feel proud to say I attended the University of Nebraska.
Transformational moment
Every single class I've taken in the dance department has meant so much to me. Whether it was a technique class in the studio or an academic class to learn about various elements of dance from the scholarly side of things, I felt seen and welcomed and can say with certainty I've learned so much. Specifically, taking "Dance, Culture, and Politics" taught me to view dance from multiple perspectives and appreciate where different genres come from. I can use this experience in the future to acknowledge the roots of dance and appreciate different performances whether I'm involved with them or simply viewing them.
After graduation, I am most looking forward to...
Applying the knowledge and life skills I've gained from both the dance and psychology departments in all facets of my career going forward.
The best thing about being a Husker is...
The community. I view myself as part of many communities on campus, as well as a part of the Husker community as a larger whole. Each of these communities has taught me life lessons and shaped me into the Husker I am today.

I would like to thank the UNL Dance faculty for their support and education during my time here. Susan Ourada, Hye-Won Hwang, Lynne Nevin, and Vince Learned have all been a huge part of my college experience. All of them bring joy and passion to the dance studio and have challenged me, supported me, and allowed me to be myself and explore my own style while under their guidance.
