Since graduating in May, alumna Grace Mosier has been using her experience as a psychology major in her job as a Community Director at Doane University, playing an integral part of the support system for students campus-wide.
She provides information about on-campus and off-campus resources, oversees a group of student-staff members and she works closely with campus partners to provide a safe and healthy living-learning community. She also oversees the Community Advisor Selection Process and she serves as the Advisor to the Hansen Leadership Certificate Program.
"My education within the Department of Psychology prepared me for my career by encouraging me to get outside my comfort zone," she said. "Due to the encouragement I received from my advisers and mentors campus-wide I feel completely comfortable interacting with and supporting people from different backgrounds."
Her favorite thing about the Department of Psychology is the feeling of family.
"All the faculty and staff deeply invest in the success of all psychology students."
