Major(s)
Political Science, Environmental Studies
Lake Andes, South Dakota
Favorite and/or most impactful course
The most impactful class for me has been POLS 250- Brains, Politics, and Genetics. Dr. Hibbing is a very intelligent man and he wants to share his knowledge with his students as much as he can, so I have learned a lot in his class that I am very interested in. My favorite class has been ENVR 101 because I have met so many new people who have become my friends, and learning about the different routes you can take within the Environmental Studies major is very helpful.
Research or internship experience
I was a Park Management intern at North Point Recreation area in South Dakota. This is a park that controls a whole district of State Park Recreation Areas and Lakeside Use Areas.
Other involvement
I volunteer in the nursery at Sower Church here in Lincoln
Why you chose Nebraska
It was the closest university to my home that offered amazing programs for both of my majors.
