Why you chose your major

I picked my major because I feel that it best encompasses my life and academic interests, and through my majors I believe I will be able to help others in a way that is relevant, important, and necessary in the world today.

Favorite course

My favorite course in college has been a Political Relations course, and it was my favorite because I learned information that was so relevant to the world and its' increasingly growing economy today. I found it intriguing to learn and analyze the dynamics of power relations and the worlds political and economic houses, and I believe it to be an extremely important part of our lives as Americans every day.

Research or internship experience

N/A BUT going to Costa Rica in the Spring of 2019 to study Public Health, and I will be participating in a service learning project while abroad. (More info to come with time as the trip gets closer).

Other involvement

I am involved in Kappa Alpha Theta sorority where I hold an officer position as Event Director, where I organize, budget, plan, and execute all socials, formals, and events that our chapter executes within the school year. Within my sorority I volunteer in numerous locations and with various organizations throughout the community. In addition to my sorority, I actively participate in intramural sports such as sand and indoor volleyball, basketball, and broom ball to name a few.

Why you chose Nebraska

I chose UNL for the ambience of a Big 10 school but a hometown feel. At UNL, I feel that I am challenged and pushed to reach my full potential daily, but I am also continuously reassured and supported by faculty, advisors, and peers. UNL has been nothing short of the great expectations that I had coming into college three years ago, and for that I am forever grateful.

Student Ambassadors group

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
