Major(s)

Biological Sciences (Pre-Med)

Omaha, NE

Why you chose your major

I chose Biological Sciences because it is a topic that I have always been interested in. I find it especially fascinating to learn about animals and the biological processes that occur in our bodies.

Favorite and/or most impactful course

So far my favorite course in college was Chem 109. I enjoyed learning about the basics of chemistry and thought it had valuable information that was relevant to plenty of courses I have taken since.

Research or internship experience

I am currently a lab teaching assistant for Chem 109. This job gives me a chance to be an instructor to students who I am not much older than. I feel like this job gives me great experience to practice my public speaking skills and learn new skills as well.

Other involvement

I am involved in Greek life, The Big Event operations staff, Special Olympics, and I am a member of UNL Medlife. I also serve as an executive member for AMSA at UNL.

Why you chose Nebraska

When deciding where to go to college, I visited a few different campuses but I always knew Nebraska was where I wanted to be. Nebraska felt like home to me and it also offers great undergraduate research programs which I plan to get involved in soon.

Student Ambassadors are undergraduate students who talk to prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public about the college.
